Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to a UNL residence hall just before noon Monday. Public Information Officer MJ Lierman tells KLIN News as crews arrived they found smoke coming from the third floor of the Courtyards near 17th and Vine.
“Laundry room had a fire in the dryer, which was extinguished quickly, but was creating a lot of smoke throughout the third floor.” She says the students were evacuated while crews ventilated the third floor.
Students were allowed back in around 1:00. It’s unknown what the damage amounts are.
