No. 1 Nebraska volleyball completed a perfect month Friday in East Lansing: Eight matches. Eight wins. Eight sweeps. The Cornhuskers steamrolled Michigan State, 25-15, 25-18, 25-20, at the Breslin Center before a record crowd for MSU Volleyball. Nebraska has now won 25 consecutive sets dating back to the fifth set won by the Huskers Sept. 16 versus Creighton at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.

Reigning Big Ten Player of the Week Harper Murray continued her stellar play of late: 13 kills, no errors, on 26 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage. Taylor Landfair added eight kills while Rebekah Allick led the team with five blocks. Bergen Reilly notched 32 set assists. Nebraska outhit the Spartans, .383-.209, outblocked them 9-4, and outserved Michigan State, nine aces to three.

Nebraska scored the first point in each of the first two sets and never relinquished the lead. In set three, the Spartans scored the first point and led 2-1 after three rallies. The set was tied at two, three and four before the Huskers ran off five straight points and never looked back in cruising to their 13th sweep of the season.

The Huskers are next in action Sunday at 1 p.m. at Michigan. Pregame coverage begins at noon on KLIN and B-107.3.
