The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a man Wednesday morning who is wanted in connection with a Milwaukee homicide investigation. State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says they received information about a person of interest who was believed to be traveling in Nebraska.
“A trooper spotted the vehicle as it was westbound between Omaha and Lincoln,” Thomas says. Additional troopers responded and a felony traffic stop was conducted near Waverly around 7:45 a.m.
Thomas says the driver, a man in his 30’s, was taken into custody without incident. I-80 was closed for approximately 30 minutes. He remains in custody pending extradition back to Milwaukee.
