Attention Lincoln drivers: construction will shift traffic to a head-to-head setup in the westbound lanes of Warlick Blvd. and Denton Rd. beginning Monday, Sept. 22, at 6 a.m. around the U.S. Highway 77 (US-77) and Warlick Blvd. intersection.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) says the configuration will continue for a few weeks to allow for the construction of new pavement in the eastbound lanes, as well as construction of the temporary roadway and intersection that will carry traffic from US-77 to Warlick Blvd. and Denton Rd. throughout construction of the new interchange.
Temporary lane closures will continue to be utilized as required to perform construction work along US-77 northbound and southbound.
NDOT reminds motorists to drive cautiously in and near work zones, buckle up, and put phones down.
