By Tom Stanton Sep 15, 2025 | 11:48 AM

Lincoln Police have made an arrest after a terrifying ordeal for a resident living near Gregory and Judson Streets.  LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says around 6:15 Sunday night  a victim told officers an unknown man came into her family’s home armed with a knife and pointed it at their dogs.

The man then stole a bicycle and rode away.  “While en route, officers saw a man matching the description riding the bicycle nearby,” Thomas says.  “Officers told him to stop but he kept riding. He was eventually taken into custody about a mile away.”

Thomas says when searching 27-year-old Isiah King of Lincoln they found several medications, including a prescription bottle taken from the victim’s home.  She says they also learned the bicycle had been stolen from a neighbor’s home.

Thomas says it was also determined that King also stole an unlocked car at Roper Park around 6 p.m.  That vehicle was recovered about a mile away.  King was first taken to the hospital for a medical issues and then to the Lancaster County Jail where he was booked for burglary, obstructing a peace officer and theft by receiving.
