An 11-year-old boy was hospitalized Monday night after being hit by a vehicle in north Lincoln.
Lincoln Police Public Information Manager Erika Thomas tells KLIN News the crash happened just after 8 p.m. near N. 1st Street and W. Dawes Avenue. The boy was walking with friends on the sidewalk before stepping into the roadway in front of a southbound vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital with a broken leg. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators say no citations have been issued, noting there is no probable cause for traffic or criminal violations.
