Lincoln Police say someone with permanent markers has been leaving anti-Trump messages on traffic signals and signs in south Lincoln. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says around 11:45 a.m. on August 30 they received a report of vandalism to the traffic control signal box on the southwest corner of S. 27th and Jameson.
“The same vandalism happened at the same location in June in the same handwriting,” Thomas says. She also says officers located three stop signs with the same vandalism in the
same handwriting, along with another traffic control box near 27th and Nebraska Parkway.
Total damage for the vandalism to traffic control boxes and the stop signs is estimated at $450. Thomas says the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that could help identify the
person responsible is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
You can also report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
