New Portion of Pine Lake Road to Close September 4

By Chase Porter Sep 3, 2025 | 10:50 AM

The westbound lanes of Pine Lake Road between South 32nd and South 29th streets will close beginning Thursday, September 4, for the next phase of a Lincoln on the Move street improvement project.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) says this work is expected to be completed by early October.

During this phase, westbound traffic will use the eastbound lanes in a head-to-head traffic configuration from South 32nd Street to just west of South 29th Street. The north side of the South 29th Street and Pine Lake Road intersection will also be closed to all traffic. Left turns at this intersection and from driveways between South 27th and South 32nd streets will not be allowed during the closure.

Drivers can access shopping and businesses south of Pine Lake Road by using the South 27th Street and Porter Ridge Road intersection. To access businesses north of Pine Lake Road, drivers can use the South 27th Street and Southridge Road intersection.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. StarTran Route 53-SouthPointe will be detoured during this work. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit lincoln.ne.gov/transit or call 402-476-1234.
