Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen has ordered all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset, August 31, 2025, to honor the victims of Wednesday’s deadly shooting at a school in Minneapolis.

Pillen’s order is in accordance with a directive from President Donald Trump. A link to the President’s proclamation can be found here.

“Suzanne and I are horrified by the news coming out of Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis,” said Gov. Pillen. “We are absolutely heartbroken for the families and community. We will continue to pray for the students, teachers, and others affected by this senseless act of violence.”
