LFR has determined that a suspicious article found in a pickup Wednesday morning near 46th and Newton was found to of no threat. Lincoln Fire and Rescue’s Hazardous Device Team was called to the neighborhood near 46th and Normal around 7:30 a.m.
“We had some neighbors call in that there was a suspicious device in the back of one of their vehicles, didn’t know what it was, they didn’t put it there themselves,” says LFR Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil. “We called in our Hazardous Device Team and worked with LPD to do some x-rays and ultimately determined it wasn’t hazardous.”
The device was located in the back of a pickup truck in a driveway.
