A developing storm system will affect the western mountain ranges through Thursday and then track inland across portions of the Rockies, High Plains and upper Mississippi River Valley for the remainder of this week.
The Lincoln area will probably see mixed precipitation as the storm moves into Nebraska with up to an inch of snow possible. Heavier snows area expected north of I-80 along with winds that will cause blowing and drifting.
Motorists are advised to use caution and be prepared for changing conditions.
