Lincoln Police were called to an area hospital early Sunday morning to investigate an assault and possible robbery. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a 33-year-old Lincoln man told officers he had parked his vehicle near Lintel Park at 21st and Holdrege around 4:00 a.m.
“An unknown man approached him with a knife and demanded money, Thomas says. “The victim did not give the suspect any money, so he stabbed him in the left shoulder and then ran off.” The victim then drove himself to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
