Inmate Missing From Lincoln Arrested in Dakota County

By Tom Stanton Aug 18, 2025 | 8:52 AM

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate who was reported missing on August 14th from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln has been arrested in northeast Nebraska.

A spokesperson for NDCS says Alexander Gouge was taken into custody by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday and booked into jail.  Gouge did not return to CCC-L from a job seeking furlough.

He started his sentence on August 31, 2021. Gouge was sentenced to 10 to 15 years out of Lancaster County for refusing to submit to a test/5th offense.  CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS.

Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
