Investigators with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office have recovered various personal items belonging to Tyler Goodrich near the location where his body was found Sunday, in a wooded area near Hwy 77 and W. Pioneers.

LSO Chief Deputy Ben Houchin provided an update into the ongoing investigation on Wednesday, saying investigators are continuing to search for evidence and follow leads in the case.

“Since our last update, investigators have recovered clothing, a cell phone, wallet, a key, and a watch near the area where Tyler was found. Through the investigation, we have confirmed these items belong to Tyler Goodrich,” said Houchin.

The location where Goodrich’s body was found is less than a thousand yards from Goodrich’s home. He was last seen on November 3, 2023 after leaving his home following a family argument.

At last update, Houchin said the investigation is being treated as a suspicious death, but not a homicide. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, results from the autopsy have yet to be released.
