The Capital Humane Society is trying to free up space at their shelter through a special adoption promotion that will run March 11-16. Adoption fees for all animals available for adoption will be reduced 50 percent at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center.
This includes dogs, cats and small critters, such as rabbits and guinea pigs. License and rabies fees may apply. The Humane Society says last Thursday alone they received 53 animals into the shelter.
They say it’s essential that they free up space because they expect to see an increase in lost animals coming to the shelter with the warmer weather this week. Available adoption animals can be found at www.capitalhumanesociety.org.
