Just before 4:00 Friday morning Lincoln Police were called to the Cornhusker Hotel to investigate a stolen vehicle.  “A hotel employee told police he had left a black Ford Transit T350 van, valued at $16,000, unlocked and running with the keys inside to warm up,” says LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.

“While the vehicle was unattended, two people got inside and drove off.”  Thomas says the employee saw the vehicle driving east on ‘L’ Street from 13th. Officers were able to identify the suspects from review of surveillance video.

Thomas says about two hours later hotel staff called to say the vehicle had been returned and the suspects had left on foot. Officers were able to locate the man and woman near 16th and ‘N’ streets. 28-year-old Brandi Moon and 25-year-old Scott Frankson were arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail.

They were booked for unauthorized use of a vehicle and criminal mischief.  Thomas says the van sustained damage to the rear passenger side and the  dash camera had been removed.
