If you have been thinking about adding a pet to your home, today is a good day to do so.
Union Bank & Trust is holding a Paws to adopt event today. They will sponsor the adoption fee for pets at the Capital Humane Society’s Pieloch Pet Adoption Center today.
Director of Operations Shelby Backhus says, “We are looking to do hopefully 25 pet adoptions today. We have more animals than that but hopefully that will get a lot of animals good homes today.” She adds that adopting a pet makes room for the next one needing a home.
Customers will need to join the virtual line through Qless that is available on their website, capitalhumanesociety.org. Hours at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center will run until about 7:30. All adoptions and interactions end a half hour before close. All animals are available on a first-come-first-served basis. All animals available are listed on their website.
Backhus is hoping this will be a great day where many wonderful pets find their forever home.
