Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird says there’s good news when it comes to the number of children ages 5-11 who are now getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
On LNK Today Gaylor Baird said so far more than 3-thousand kids have rolled up their sleeves since the vaccine became available earlier this month. “We’ve got about 29,000 kids in that age group who, up to this point, have not been able to get protection from the virus in the same way as older adults.”
Gaylor Baird is encouraging more families to consider vaccinating their children. There will be a vaccination clinic for kids Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Southwest High School.
