Lincoln Parks and Recreation today announced that registration is now open for spring NFL FLAG™ Football and youth volleyball. The deadline to register is February 10 and space is limited.
The leagues are as follows:
The NFL FLAG™ Football
- The six-game season runs March 17 through May 1 at the Lewis ballfields, 24th and “J” streets. The league plays a five-on-five coed format with no blocking. Leagues are divided into kindergarten through eighth grades divisions. Players are assigned to teams via coach request, friend request, and geographic area.
- Regular registration is $95 for the first child and $5 discount is offered for each additional child in the same family until February 3. Late registration from February 4 through 10 is $10 more for each child ($105 for the first child and $5 sibling discount). Registration fee includes an official reversible NFL jersey and flags that players keep.
The Youth MiniVolley Volleyball league
- The six-game season runs mid-March to early May at Belmont Recreation Center, 1234 Judson St. and Calvert Recreation Center, 4500 Stockwell St. Games are played on Saturday mornings in a relaxed, developmental and instructional environment with a four-on-four format.
- The league offers kindergarten through fifth-grade age divisions. Eight-person teams are assigned a volunteer coach and organized via friend requests and geographic areas. Registration is $50 for the first child, with a $5 discount for each additional child in the same family. Registration includes a program shirt.
