Lincoln Public Schools issued this statement following the arrest of a former custodian who is facing several sexual assault charges:

Lincoln Public Schools had no involvement or reason for involvement with the investigation conducted by Lincoln Police. We’ve been informed by police the incidents do not have a connection to the position he held at Lincoln Public Schools. Randall Stollar is no longer an employee at LPS.

Stollar was arrested on November 3rd on several 1st and 3rd degree child sexual assault charges.

LPS sent this notification to Brownell families on Tuesday:

We have some hard news to share with you. A former assistant custodial supervisor who began at Brownell in September has been arrested and faces several charges stemming from an investigation by Lincoln police. Brownell and Lincoln Public Schools had no involvement or reason for involvement with the investigation conducted by law enforcement. We’ve been informed by police the incidents do not have a connection to the position he held at Lincoln Public Schools. He is no longer an employee at Lincoln Public Schools.

This message was sent to families of East students also on Tuesday:

We have some hard news to share with you. A former East custodian has been arrested and faces several charges stemming from an investigation by Lincoln police. Lincoln Public Schools had no involvement or reason for involvement with the investigation conducted by law enforcement. We’ve been informed by police the incidents do not have a connection to the position he held at Lincoln Public Schools. He is no longer an employee at Lincoln Public Schools.

According to the Lancaster County Department of Corrections, Stollar is being held on a $750,000 bond.
