Lincoln Police have investigated a number of stolen gun cases recently. On Saturday morning around 8:45 a.m. officers were called to a home near 77th and Old Cheney. The back passenger window of a pickup truck was broken and three firearms inside were taken, a pistol and two rifles,” says Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.
The total value of the guns is around $600. Officers also responded to stolen gun call around 3:45 Saturday afternoon less than a mile away. “The vehicle had been left unlocked overnight and the victim reported a handgun was taken, with an approximate value of $450,” Thomas says.
