By Tom Stanton Dec 30, 2024 | 10:20 AM

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate is missing from the Community Corrections Center  in Lincoln.  A spokesperson says Erica Gonzales left her place of employment Sunday evening and her electronic monitor was found near 27th and Pine Lake Road.

Gonzales started her sentence on March 2, 2023. She was sentenced to two to five years for theft by shoplifting out of Douglas County. She has a tentative release date of March 11, 2025.
Gonzales is a 34-year-old Black female, 5’ 4”, 195 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.  CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility.

Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
