LPD Investigating Attempted ATM Theft at North Lincoln Business

By Tom Stanton Dec 23, 2024 | 12:16 PM

Lincoln Police were called to the U-Pull It near 70th and Fletcher around 2:30 Sunday morning on a glass break alarm.  Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says the glass front sliding door had been broken out and inside officers found a blue tow strap wrapped around an ATM near the door.

“Surveillance video showed a white Chevy pickup with a broken passenger taillight back into the front door,” Thomas says.   “A person wearing a black coat, khaki pants, black ski mask and gloves entered the business and put the tow strap around the ATM.”

Thomas says as the truck began to drive off the tow strap snapped. No money was taken.  Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000. To remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 402- 475-3600.
