A teenager was cited Friday following a two vehicle crash that injured five people. The crash happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and N. 14th Street and involved a silver 2012 Ford Fusion and a green 2022 Toyota Tacoma.
“The preliminary investigation determined the pickup was driving north on 14th when the car turned off of Pennsylvania and collided with
the truck,” Captain Todd Kocian says.
“The truck rolled, went over a median and landed on its side in southbound traffic.” The driver of the Tacoma, a 41-year-old man from Lincoln, and four juvenile passengers were all transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
The 18-year-old driver of the Fusion was not injured. He was cited and released for failure to yield.
