Lincoln Police issued more than 200 citations during the recently completed “Make It Click” traffic safety project. From November 23 through December 1, LPD officers made 220 traffic stops and issued 218 citations.
Among those citations were 107 for speeding and 48 for no registration. There were 10 citations issued to people who were not wearing their seat belts and 12 for no insurance. Two drivers were cited for DUI
A grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office provided overtime for officers to focus on traffic safety and seatbelt enforcement.
