By Chase Porter Nov 27, 2024 | 11:34 AM

The Lincoln Visitors Center will begin hosting free walking tours of downtown’s Haymarket District starting this Saturday, November 30.

This educational tour of Lincoln’s popular shopping district will feature stops at numerous areas of interest, with the first tour focused on soaking in the holiday spirit. Tourists will be treated to coffee and snacks before setting out to explore the area’s rich history and architecture.

“The walking tours will be a fun and educational way for people of all ages to learn and enjoy what makes the Haymarket such a special place, especially during the holidays,” said Tracie Simpson, Services Coordinator with Visit Lincoln.

Each walking tour throughout the year will be free, but an RSVP is required. The event on November 30 will depart from the Lincoln Visitors Center, located at 201 N.7th Street inside Lincoln Station in the Haymarket, and last approximately 1-hour. To RSVP for the event or for more information, contact Tracie Simpson, Services Coordinator with Visit Lincoln, at (402) 434-5339 or tsimpson@lincoln.org.

Additional walking tour dates will be announced at a later date.
