Teen Accused of Pointing Gun at Hot Dog Vendor

Lincoln Police were called to the area of 14th and “O” Street around 10:30 Friday night on reports of an individual driving around the area in a red pickup pointing a gun at a hot dog vendor.

LPD officers received assistance from UNLPD officers and located the pickup and were able to identify the suspect as a 16-year-old boy. Police say the investigation determined the suspect got into a verbal altercation with the vendor and then pointed a handgun at him before driving away northbound.

LPD says a consent search of the pickup led officers to discover two handguns concealed in the vehicle. He was also determined to be under the influence and was He was booked into the YAC and referred and released on several charges, including terroristic threats, use of a firearm to commit a felony, carrying a concealed handgun on school grounds and carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence.

He was referred and released on several other charges.
