Brice Williams set the pace early with 12 first-half points, part of a 18-point effort, to lead the Red squad over the White, 66-50, Sunday in an intrasquad scrimmage at the Devaney Center for Nebraska men’s basketball. The scrimmage marked a return for the Huskers to their home from 1974-2013.

Williams shot 7-for-15 while tallying 18 points to lead the Red to victory, while UCLA transfer Berke Buyuktuncel notched a double-double at 13 points and 13 rebounds. The White squad was led by Wisconsin transfer Connor Essegian, who shrunk a 19-point halftime lead with 11 points during a 19-4 run in the second half to get the White squad back into the game. Essegian ended the game with 20 points on six three-pointers for the game overall.

Nebraska takes the floor for its exhibition game Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. against Grand Valley State at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
