By Tom Stanton Oct 9, 2024 | 1:45 PM

Lincoln Police say a woman sitting in her vehicle near 29th and Potter around 8:30 Tuesday morning was approached by a man who told her to get out. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says he then hopped in and took off.

LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says less than 90 minutes later the vehicle was spotted at Bomgaars near 56th and Cornhusker Highway. “The suspect left with a chainsaw and blower kit valued at almost $600 without paying, got into the Buick and drove off.”

Thomas says they are still looking for the vehicle and suspect, who is described as a thin man, 25-35 years old wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and gloves. If you have any information that would help investigators call 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600 if you would like to remain anonymous.
