Lincoln Police Searching for Ribeye Steak Shoplifter, Fake Bill Forger

By Chase Porter Oct 9, 2024 | 6:00 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who shoplifted two ribeye steaks from a local Super Saver and a woman suspected to be involved in dozens of counterfeit bill cases.

The first case occurred on October 4, 2024, at the Super Saver on 25th and Pine Lake Road.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says an individual was seen coming into the store, picking up two packs of ribeye steaks, and put them in his cart. He was later seen on camera sliding the steaks into his bag.

The man went through the checkout, purchasing a single package of bacon, then leaving the store in a dark colored car. Of note, the suspect was seen wearing a red Purina t-shirt and hat, which leads investigators to believe he may be an employee at the Purina plant in North Lincoln.

Pictures of the suspect can be seen below.

The second case was initially reported to Lincoln Police on May 27, 2024, but has been going on since April.

Investigators are looking for a woman who has allegedly been the suspect in over 30 counterfeit bill cases around the City. In many of these cases, she is alleged to pass off fake $20 bills while making small dollar purchases, to obtain the most cash back.

She’s been seen driving a silver 2007-2010 Ford Edge and also a blue 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey.

Photos are available below.

If you have information on either of these cases, contact Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000 to speak with an officer, or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600. An anonymous tip can be left online through lincolncrimestoppers.com
