Nebraska men's basketball pauses team activities

By News Jan 11, 2021 | 6:45 PM

Nebraska men’s basketball has paused all team activities due to COVID-19 protocols.

A release from the Nebraska Athletic Department says positive COVID-19 results were found among Tier 1 personnel, which includes “student athletes, coaches and any staff member whose job requires close regular contact.”

The pause means a postponement of Nebraska’s Wednesday home game against Illinois. Nebraska and Purdue paused their game last week. Teams will work to make up both games.

No word yet on if games beyond Wednesday will be impacted.
