By Chase Porter Oct 2, 2024 | 6:00 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying a pair who were seen snooping around trespassing inside a resident’s garage and a woman who attempted to cash foraged checks using a stolen ID.

The first case occurred on September 24th in the early morning, at a residence in the area of 28th and “U” Street.

Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says the victim reported his camera inside his garage captured two individuals roaming around about 4:30 a.m.

He called police but by the time police arrived, the individuals were gone. The victim does not know the identity of these two, and as of now doesn’t believe anything was taken from his garage.

Lincoln Police, however, are looking to speak with these individuals and understand why they were inside this garage.

The woman appeared to have red hair, and the man appeared to be very tall, possibly around 6’7″ or taller. Photos and video of the incident are available below.

The second case occurred on September 25th at the Linc One Federal Credit Union near 47th and “W” Street.

Lincoln Police officers were dispatched to business on a report of forged checks in the amounts of $2300 and $2400 to the victim’s bank account.

A female driving a newer Nissan Frontier with a fake license plate reading ‘T1RESLAYER’ allegedly used the drive through at the bank to cash the checks using a stolen ID.

During the investigation, it was discovered the same women is also believed to be responsible for an alleged forgery in Ralston, Nebraska.

In total, Lincoln Police believe the woman is connected to over $10,000 worth of transactions and attempted transactions. Investigators are asking folks to keep an eye out for this Nissan Frontier with a unique black and yellow license plate, also reading ‘HOONIGAN’ at the top of it.
