Lincoln residents are being invited to celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day on October 2nd. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says the celebration will be held in every geographical area of Lincoln.
“We’re inviting people to come talk with their team captain and officers on their community policing teams, to ask questions and to meet face-to-face.” The NE Team event will be held at the Hy-Vee at 50th and ‘O’ Street from 8-9 a.m. Free coffee and donuts will be provided.
The SE Team will meet from 8-9:30 a.m. at Chick-fil-A near 27th and Pine Lake Road and free coffee will be provided. The NW Team will be set up at The Mill from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on the Nebraska Innovation Campus at 20th and Transformation Drive. Residents in southwest Lincoln can meet with officers from 10 a.m. to noon at the Meadowlark Coffee near 16th and South Street.
