Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews battled a fire at a home near 56th and Knox around 12:20 Saturday morning.  Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says when firefighters arrived, there was heavy flames coming from the home.

She says it took about 20 minutes for crews to get the fire under control.  The residents were able to get out of the house safely and no injuries were reported.  Damage is estimated at $100,000 to the home and about $30,000 to the contents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
