Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews responded to a deck fire near 66th and Adams Street just before noon Tuesday.
LFR Battalion Chief Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil told KLIN News on the scene, when crews arrived, there was light smoke coming from behind the home.
“We got our hose line pulled around. Got the fire extinguished pretty quickly. No extension into the house,” Pospisil said.
The deck sustained heavy damage, given it’s size. Pospisil the roofline/soffit area may have also been damaged. No one was home at the time of the fire, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
