A 44-year-old man was hospitalized after Lincoln Police say he was beaten at Lakeview Park near NW 20th and W. ‘O’ Street Monday morning. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says someone called 911 and said three people were assaulting a man on the ground and then dragged him into the street.
She says the victim was sleeping on a park bench when he was attacked. “He had extensive injuries to his face and head and complained of injuries to his ribs,” Thomas says. The man was taken to the hospital where he was treated for an orbital fracture and a bruised lung.
A 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody and were booked and referred. The search is continuing for the third suspect.
