The Nebraska State Patrol says a driver and passenger were injured when their SUV struck the 27th Street bridge over I-80 around 10:00 Wednesday morning. “The preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it lost control, struck the center barrier, and came back across all of the eastbound lanes,” Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says.
He tells KLIN News the SUV then went up the embankment where it struck the concrete wall. He says the two people were taken to Bryan Health West with serious injuries. Both are from out of state.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
