New Lincoln Youth Mental Health Center Opens Aug. 19

Responding to the ongoing youth mental health crisis and the critical need for additional services, a new outpatient treatment program for adolescents with mental health and behavioral conditions will open in Lincoln on Monday.

Imagine by Northpoint will begin providing treatment August 19. Imagine is located at 3801 Union Drive, Suite 100, close to Northpoint’s adult outpatient center which opened in Spring 2024.

The public is invited to the Grand Opening event on Thursday, August 15 from 3:30pm-5:30pm.

A lack of access to quality mental health care for youth in the state has been frequently identified as a core component of the issue. According to Mark Jones, Northpoint Regional Vice President of Midwest Markets, Imagine by Northpoint programming and services are designed to help meet demand for mental and behavioral health care for adolescents in greater Lincoln and Lancaster County.

“Like all of our Imagine facilities, we have assembled a talented and compassionate team capable of delivering top quality medical and clinical services that create the level of positive mental health habits and resiliency in adolescents,” said Jones, a licensed mental health counselor and PhD.

“Our goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that enables teens aged 12-18 to make positive and lasting change in their lives,” he said.

Northpoint Lincoln currently operates an adult outpatient program designed for those struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Northpoint has provided inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment to adults in Omaha since 2021 and opened a facility to serve adolescents in Omaha in 2023.
