Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to a home near 28th and ‘F’ Street around 11:30 Sunday morning. Battalion Chief Drew Endicott tells KLIN News the fire started in the detached garage and caused damage to the house and also melted some siding on a neighboring home.
Investigators say the garage was destroyed and there is at least $100,000 in losses. Three residents were forced to leave their home. A family dog made it out safely.
The cause of the fire was electrical.
