Lincoln Police have identified the man killed after being hit by a car on West “O” Street Saturday morning.
Public Information Officer Erika Thomas identified the man killed as 62-year-old John Wayne Gross of Lincoln. Gross was reportedly sitting on the road median just west of Sun Valley Boulevard when he was struck by a westbound driver.
30-year old Vanessa Nicole Williams was the driver of the vehicle that crossed the raised center median striking Gross.
Investigators determined that Williams was driving under the influence of drugs. Williams is in custody and has been charged with felony motor vehicle homicide.
