Midtown Lincoln shoppers saw more than they wanted Sunday afternoon. Around 5 p.m. police were called to Gateway Mall on an indecent exposure call. A security guard reported that a man had been inside Round One Amusement and Bowling exposing himself.
About two and a half hours earlier police were called to Whole Foods at 60th and “O” Street on a man with the same description exposing himself. Just before 4 p.m. police were also called to Staples at 49th and “O” Street on a man exposing himself behind the building.
When police arrived at Round One, they located a man matching the description provided by the callers and escorted him from the business. When officers attempted to take the man into custody, he resisted. LPD says During the struggle, the man kicked an officer in the arm causing an abrasion and bruising.
Even after the man was in handcuffs, he continued to be aggressive and kick at officers. 24-year-old Michael Dixon was arrested for Assault on a Police Officer, Public Indecency, and Resisting Arrest.
