Lincoln Police believe a cockatoo that was reported missing on June 14th was carried away by three falcons on Friday. LPD Public Information Officer Erica Thomas says a Game and Parks camera showed a large white bird being taken into the falcon’s nest at the top of the State Capitol building on Friday night.
“Unfortunately, our belief, based on the video evidence, is that the bird brought into the nest was likely Izzy.” The owner of the $8,000 bird took to Facebook on June 18th to say Izzy was left untethered outside of a cage in a truck bed overnight in Lincoln and flew off.
She was described as being white with yellow feathers and talks. She was last seen in the area of 13th and ‘E” Street.
