The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Lancaster County and all of eastern Nebraska until 8:00 Tuesday night. Lead Meteorologist Laurel McCoy tells KLIN news storms will begin moving in around 6 to 7 p.m. She says strong winds, large hail and heavy rains will be the biggest threats.
A couple of tornadoes are are also possible. She says flash flooding is the biggest concern. “We could see anywhere from 2-3 inches across the area. Some areas could see locally higher amounts, which could lead to some flash flooding.”
Additional showers will be possible Wednesday.
