Lincoln residents can help keep needy families cooler this summer through the Salvation Army’s Fan Drive. Captain Kelsey Moreno tells KLIN News they are again teaming up with Westlake Hardware stores to provide new box fans.
Captain Kelsey Moreno says through June 16 customers can round up their purchase at the register or make a donation. “Then Westlake collects those donations and usually in the beginning of July we receive the fans that were provided by this donations and we start handing them out.”
Moreno says priority is given to the elderly and families with small children. She says online donations can also be made.
