-People’s City Mission will once again be hosting our annual Christmas toy giveaway. It will take place Saturday, December 19 from 10am to 2pm at the Help Center, 6800 P St. New, donated toys are given away to the public.
Anyone who is in need of free gifts for their children can come. First come first served, while supplies last. We will have volunteers who will wrap the gifts. We won’t know until the day of the giveaway how many toys each person can take – it is all dependent on how much is donated in advance. At this same time, we will also be giving out turkeys and trimmings for Christmas dinner, while supplies last.
If you would like to donate, there’s still time. We are taking new toys and kids item donations up until 5 p.m. Friday, December 18. We will accept items unwrapped or wrapped (with a label indicating the contents). We will also accept donations of Christmas wrapping paper.
We are so blessed to be able to provide this at no cost to those in need in our community because of the generosity of businesses, churches and individuals. In this especially difficult time for many, we are appreciative of those who have donated to make Christmas special for those in need.
