A traffic stop near 33rd and O Street Monday evening led to the discovery of drugs. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says officers tried to stop the motorcycle around 5:30 p.m. because they could not read the license plate.  Kocian says 51-year-old Shane Partsch hopped off the bike and ran.

“After a brief foot pursuit and struggle Partsch was taken into custody.” Kocian says officers found  35.1 grams of methamphetamine, 61 Alprazolam pills, 2.1 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He says the 2021 Suzuki GSX 1000 was reported stolen back in October 2021. Partsch was arrested on drug charges, resisting arrest and theft be receiving stolen property.  The passenger on the motorcycle, 25-year-old Stephanie Bachman, initially took off on foot but was quickly arrested and for possession of a controlled substance.
