Lincoln Police continue their investigation after 32-year-old Gregory Little was shot to death by a security guard outside outside the Royal Hookah Bar near 16th and O Street last Sunday morning. Assistant Chief Jason Stille says no arrests have been made as they continue to sort out the details.
“We continue to track down witnesses, we’ve found a couple of pieces of video that we are analyzing and we continue to seek the public’s help,” Stille says. “Anyone who was there, anyone who has video, anyone who knows someone who was there, please come forward.”
Stille says Little was at the bar with other people around 3:00 a.m. A dispute broke out with other people in the bar about cutting in line. He says three security guards attempted to intervene and either Little or someone else in his group grabbed a baton from one of the guards.
The altercation then spilled outside. Stille says while trying to get the baton back, a 24-year-old security guard fired four shots at Little. He was wounded in the arm and upper chest and died at a local hospital. He says three guns were among the items they found on the sidewalk and they have been placed into evidence.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000.
