KLIN was honored with several Eric Sevareid Awards at the latest Midwest Journalism Conference in Minneapolis.
The awards are presented by the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, and named North Dakota-born and University of Minnesota-educated journalist best known for his work as a correspondent for CBS Radio and Television.
The “Voice of Lincoln” on 1400 AM and 99.3 FM, KLIN has a long history of producing award-winning work. In 2024, KLIN brought home five awards, including three for first place submissions.
Competing in the Media Market Radio division, First Place awards were earned for Morning Newscast, Evening Newscast, and Podcast. Newscast had previously been a single category, which KLIN had taken the top spot in for several consecutive years.
Awards of Merit were earned in Sportscast/Program and Talk/Public Affairs.
