Arrests are made in a series of shots fired near 26th and K Streets on November 25th and 26th.

On Wednesday, police were sent to the area around 5 p.m. and were told by witnesses that a man had been shooting a gun and then heard a vehicle speed away.  Officers located several shell casings in the area and damage to a building at 400 S 26th Street.  The damage was estimated at $400.

Just after 2 p.m. Thursday, police were again sent to 26th and K for a report of gunshots.  Officers again found shell casings and a bullet had hit a different building in the 400 block of S 26th Street.  The estimated damage is $300.  After again talking to witnesses, Investigators determined a 17 year old male was the suspect.   An officer later saw a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect at 33rd and W.   The officer contacted the occupants who were identified as the 17-year-old suspect, and two 19-year-old men, Daeveion Graham and Leul Howell.

The men were all placed into custody and a Glock 9mm handgun was located on Graham’s person.  The gun was loaded but was missing several rounds.  Based on witness accounts it was determined that the 17 year old was responsible for shooting the gun and he was arrested for Discharge a Firearm Near a Building and Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony.

Graham and Howell were arrested for Aid and Abet the Discharge of a Firearm Near a Building and Aid and Abet Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony.
