Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in two separate cases, one regarding a vape shop burglar disguised in a “Tigger” onesie, and the other regarding the New Years Day burglary of a local business.
The first case involving Tigger, occurred around 1:00 a.m. on February 18th, at the Generation V vape shop on 48th and Old Cheney Road.
Forensics Video Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says the suspect can be seen throwing a concrete rock through the window of the shop and jumping through the broken window into the business.
Once inside, Tigger ran around the store grabbing $500 worth of items from the shelves.
Video and photos from the incident can be viewed below.
The next case—which KLIN News previously reported on—occurred on New Years Day.
Captured on security video, two suspects were seen breaking the window of the Randolph Jewelry and Loan on 27th and Randolph Street, around 1:30 a.m.
Keller says the suspects waited around for about 45 minutes before one of them climbed through the broken window near the entrance to the store. The suspect went back to the coin display and busted it open, stealing a handful of coins valued at $1,350.
Damage to the building is estimated at $800.
Video and photos from the incident can be viewed below.
